Matthew J. Murphy – President, founder, co-owner 
Over 30 years experience as a commercial and business development executive in the midstream energy industry with Cities Service / Occidental Petroleum and other midstream energy companies until he formed Murphy Energy Corporation in 1993.  Exceptionally skilled in developing supply and marketing strategies for crude oil, natural gas liquids and condensate commodities that optimize earnings throughout the value stream.
 
Gregory A. Westfall – Exec VP, co-owner 
Over 30 years experience as a senior marketing and business development executive in the energy industry. Focused on defining and implementing marketing plans via M&A, strategic alliance development and customer aggregation strategies including natural gas liquids, refined products, crude oil, natural gas and LNG at Cities Service, Home Petroleum, Williams, Transok, Coral Energy and Shell.  Mr. Westfall purchased 50% of Murphy Energy in 2004.
 
Patrick Johndrow – VP Business Development 
30 years experience with Kerr McGee Corporation, Princeton natural Gas, Chaparral Energy Company and Seminole Energy Services. Responsible for revenue accounting for Oklahoma, New Mexico and Wyoming properties, setting up pay decks and paying working interest, gas balancing, royalty owners, tax authorities and MMS and, marketing and selling Kerr McGee’s equity gas in the Midcontinent and Rockies.  At Seminole Energy Services responsibilities included gas acquisition for gathering systems, end use gas marketing, monthly wellhead accounting and monthly financial reporting and managing the gathering side of the company. 

Glen Smith – VP Crude Oil 
30 years experience with Bigheart Pipeline Corporation and Teppco Crude Oil.  Responsibilities included trading crude oil book of 300,000 bpd, maintaining relationships with trade partners, managed pipeline inventory in excess of 1.8 million barrels monthly, overseeing blending opportunities at various terminals and pipeline systems, purchasing cargoes, managing lease personnel and maintaining relationships with various large producers which supplied crude oil to company.

Tim McLeod – Director Risk Management 
Over 30 years experience in various commercial roles with direct and indirect risk management responsibilities including: (1) Commodities – evaluated, bought, sold, and blended refined products, NGL’s, refinery intermediates, and specialty chemicals and fuels for small independents and larger corporations (Enron, Williams, Coffeyville Resources) with responsibility for maintaining hedges using physical or futures contracts (2) Business Development – lead or assisted in the identification, negotiation, and closing  of various NGL and refined products capital projects, supply and marketing deals, and pipeline and processing throughput agreements (3) Refining – managed operations staffs of up to 30 personnel; interfaced between operations and commercial personnel to establish and meet production and sales targets (4) Gasoline Blending and Terminaling – established and staffed grassroots blending and laboratory operation; established and met truck, marine, and pipe schedules for up to 1.5MM bbls/month, and (5) Gas Processing and NGL Pipelines – managed project scope and capital budgets for various expansion projects.

Rob Tanner – VP NGL’s 
Over 30 years of Crude Oil and NGL Marketing experience with a strong overall knowledge of the North American markets and infrastructure.  Commenced career in Calgary, Alberta for Home Oil Company marketing to refineries on the U.S. West coast. Moved to the U.S. and continued marketing crude and NGL’s for United LP Gas, Union Pacific Fuels and Duke Energy prior to joining Murphy Energy in 2007. Responsible for negotiating short and long-term purchase, sale, exchange, transportation and fractionation agreements with producers, refineries, petro-chemical plants, pipelines and fractionation companies as well as identifying potential NGL business development opportunities.
 
Carter Simmons – VP Business Development 
Experience in natural gas at Reliant Energy where he held several positions on the northeast and gulf coast trading desks working as an analyst, gas scheduler, transportation and exchange representative, and trader responsible for market and supply positions on various pipes that served the northeast LDC markets and Reliant’s power plant assets.  Recent experience has been in crude oil, condensate and natural gas liquids business development, primarily in Texas.
